Kacie (Willis) Luaders is the Founding Producer of Could Be Pretty Cool, an audio-first think tank™ for creative industries. With an educational background, including a BS in Music Recording Technology from Hampton University and an MFA in Sound Design from Savannah College of Art and Design, Kacie has honed her skills as a Sound Designer, Podcaster, Data Analyst and Creative Entrepreneur.
Her professional journey is marked by significant achievements, such as being a 2022 Emory Arts and Social Justice Fellow, a 2023 Black Public Media “PitchBlack” Immersive Forum Finalist, a 2023 Google News Initiative participant, and a 2024 Truist Foundation Fellow. Kacie’s commitment to fostering creativity through technology is further exemplified by her participation in the 2024 Keychange US Talent Development Program and the 2024 NYC Media Lab & Bertelsmann “The Ethical Matrix: Forging New Frontiers in Media, Services, Education, and Healthcare AI” challenge.
Kacie is also honored to be invited back to the 2024 Emory Arts and Social Justice fellowship to explore the synergies between AI and creativity. This fellowship represents a unique opportunity for her to contribute to the dialogue on how AI can be harnessed to enhance artistic endeavors and address social justice issues through creative innovation.
