Dr. Jay Shah is a pediatric and interventional radiologist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA), with joint appointments in the Emory School of Medicine Department of Radiology and the Department of Pediatrics.
His clinical interests include vascular anomalies and ablative therapies for a variety of conditions. Dr. Shah additionally co-chairs Emory School of Medicine GLOBE track as well as the Emory Radiology’s Global Health Residency Program track and serves on the Global Health Committee.
Currently he is involved with humanitarian work as a Doctors Without Borders (MSF) telemedicine consultant. He has previously worked as a Congressional Fellow in Healthcare in the U.S. House of Representatives and continues to pursue advocacy work even today.
He is involved with a variety of organizations and serves on several national and institutional committees, including in such organizations as Society for Pediatric Interventional Radiology (SPIR), Society of Interventional Radiology, amongst others. Dr. Shah earned his MD at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine followed by internship in Kalamazoo, MI before working as a Radiology resident in New York City, NY. He arrived in Atlanta to complete fellowship in Interventional Radiology at Emory University, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Radiology at Emory University and CHOA.
