Dr. Anna Q. Yaffee is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine, practicing clinically at Grady Memorial and Emory University Hospitals. Dr. Yaffee serves as Director of the Global Health in Emergency Medicine Section, Co-Director of the Center for Advanced Emergency Care, and Director of Global Health Education at the Global Health and Equity Office within Emory School of Medicine. Her primary clinical/scholarly focus is Public and Global Health in Emergency Medicine, including emergency medicine and trauma care capacity building, preparedness, and humanitarian response.
Dr. Yaffee is a board-certified emergency medicine physician, who received an MD (2012) and MPH (2008) from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI and completed her emergency medicine residency and chief residency (2015) at Emory University. Before returning to Emory as faculty, Dr. Yaffee served as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Public Health Service and worked as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
